Let the fun begin!

Compensation

In general, composers, arrangers, orchestrators and players will be paid just like in the real music business - a contracted dollar amount for each song they have on a CD, and that in accordance with the number of CDs sold - when they are sold. Please understand that the Band cannot promise how much you can or will make. It could be a little, or it could be a lot. They encourage you to allocate your emotional and financial expectations accordingly! Further, please note that the Band cannot contract with minors. So, if you're under 18 and just wrote the follow-up to Handel's Messiah, you'll still have to have your parent or guardian sign for you.

In particular, contracts with composers, arrangers, orchestrators and players will be drawn up as the need arises.

Blog Moderator's Invite for Song and Theme Submissions for the 1772 Tour de Thames

Musical Genre:
Eighteenth century baroque, or semi-baroque music. Also, "country dances" of that era, as there will be people dancing to this music at live performances. Read the Diary of William P. in the Literature Blog for song title ideas. See Error in G and Ricotta in D theme for examples. Make sure you copyright your submissions by including the word, "copyright" and then the year and your name on your video clip.

Blog Moderator's Invite for Song and Theme Submissions for the 2008 Faceless Tour

Musical Genre:
High energy, kickin' classical/contemporary instrumental music with fiddle/violin on lead. Brass and winds if you can make it work. Percussion in its various forms, guitars, both acoustic and electric happily accepted as long as the arrangements do not require them to be played at ear-bleed levels. We want parents to be able to feel comfortable taking their children to the Band's live concerts wherein this music will be played. So, let's hear your themes and completed tunes. Make sure you copyright your submissions by including the word, "copyright" and then the year and your name on your video clip.

Ricotta in D -- Looking for Collaboration

I need to find one or two other composers who would be willing to write the second and third themes needed to complete this song. When it's finished my intention is to submit our work to the Band for inclusion on their upcoming "Rosie's Water Music" CD. If you're interested, please hang your theme video on the blog and we'll go from there. Be sure to copyright it!
